"Basketball is Actually Really Fun!"

I was a bit nervous at first because I'd never played basketball before, but Coach Steve made it really easy. He showed me how to hold the ball properly and everything. Now I can actually do a proper layup and my shooting is getting loads better!

The best bit is playing the games at the end because you get to use all the stuff you've learned. Sometimes I mess up but the coaches don't get mad, they just help you fix it. My favourite drill is probably the dribbling one where you have to go round the cones really fast.

I've made some really good friends too. Me and Lily always partner up now and we're getting really good at passing. My mum says I talk about basketball non-stop at home!

I want to keep getting better so maybe one day I can play in a proper team. Coach Steve says if I keep practising I definitely can.
