After 45 years at elite levels, our Founder and Head Coach Steve, recognised too many local children lacked access to quality, inclusive basketball coaching. Programmes were too competitive, too expensive, or too intimidating.

Blackpool Junior Basketball was born from one belief: every child deserves the opportunity to experience basketball in a fun, supportive environment - regardless of ability or background.

Blackpool Basketball now focuses on increasing participation through inclusive weekly sessions, holiday camps, and skill courses for children aged 5 to 16, blending elite expertise with grassroots fun.
